Tom Ford Ombré Leather Parfum (released in 2021) is a smoother, more refined, and distinct floral-woody evolution of the original, iconic Eau de Parfum. Crafted by master perfumer Sonia Constant, it dials back the intense, raw "new car tire" rasp of the original leather and replaces it with an elegant, breezy, and complex botanical freshness.
Scent Profile & Notes
The fragrance strips away the heavy warm cardamom opening of the EDP and shifts toward a cleaner, dressier, and slightly earthier personality:
- Top Notes: Violet Leaf Absolute (ORPUR) and Cedarwood. It opens with a distinctive, ozonic greenness that some users find slightly sharp or medicinal at first touch before it quickly settles.
- Heart Notes: Jasmine Sambac Absolute and Orris. Creamy iris (orris) and breezy jasmine lift the composition, giving it an airy, luxurious, and velvet-smooth texture.
- Base Notes: Black Leather, Woody Notes, and Green Tobacco. The dry-down settles into a rich, sophisticated leather jacket vibe rounded out by a smooth touch of unlit tobacco.
